Q: What should I wear?
A: Clients should always feel comfortable and able to move without restriction. Please choose pants or clingy shorts that stretch with the body. Shirts can range from maximum coverage to a slim silhouette. Above all, please strive for function over fashion. Shoes are not required.
Q: Do I really have to schedule an Initial Private Session if I simply want to join Group Apparatus Class?
A: It is very important that we, as experts in our field, keep all clients safe as well as guide them down the correct pathway to attain personal goals. Group classes are perfect for healthy, injury-free bodies. But, to get the most for your time and money, it is important to gain a valuable “base” with at least 1 private Pilates session to learn it’s foundation. If you truly feel that this session is not important for you, please call the studio so that we can discuss and possibly pre-approve you for Group Apparatus Class.
Q: Can I do Pilates/Yoga and Gyrotonic exercises while I am pregnant?
A: Yes! We even have specific programs that follow the changing needs of your pregnancy!
Q: Will working out at EVOLVE Movement really tone my body and make me look fantastic?
A: Yes, you will get into phenomenal physical shape, but will do so by digging deep into your psyche and releasing your self-imposed limitations. EVOLVE’s menu of workout modalities are all forms of mind-body exercise that attribute sexy muscle tone and a dancers posture merely as side effects. By setting your sights on accomplishing mastery of your practice, you will become far more than eye-candy.
Q: I’ve heard that Pilates/Yoga and the Gyrotonic method are hard; can an
unfit slob like me do this?
A: Yes! EVOLVE Movement instructors focus on the client’s potential, not problems. You will leave your sessions feeling confident and successful! Just make sure you start at the right level and listen to your instructor’s recommendations of what are appropriate class or programs for you.
Q: How can taking lessons at EVOLVE Movement help me in my personal growth?
A: By stepping into EVOLVE, you are agreeing that you are ready to take the responsibility, and make the effort, to improve your whole self. At EVOLVE, we focus on the principles and intention of our movement modalities as well as where we need to “engage” and also “let go.” From this place of focus and integrity, our interactions and perceptions evolve toward patience, kindness and humility. Our life and worldview evolve toward peace.
