This method of exercise is taught on the floor in a group mat class, with the use of a specialized stool. Gyrokinesis moves through seated, lying down and standing positions during this 60 to 90 minute workout. Originally called Yoga for Dancers, this class allows the client to work on the entire body through the natural elements of spinal movement. This approach systematically and gently works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating movements. These movements and their corresponding breathing patterns stimulate the body’s internal organs.
